We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded € 850,000 (approx. 1 M USD) from the 2018 <<Innovation Contest>> organized by the French public investment bank, the BPI. These funds made of two thirds of subsidies and a third of recoverable advances, will support the development of the TOUCHABLE platform that will allow the interoperability of haptic devices for Extended Reality. The platform will enable content creators to design TOUCHABLE enabled solutions for all haptic devices enhancing their performances and standardization.
“This grant will help Go Touch VR develop and scale a touch immersive application at a global level. We will continue innovating into the haptics field by integrating solutions for professional training, engineering, showcasing and data interactions, providing experiences never seen before in virtual or augmented reality” said Eric Vezzoli, CEO and co-founder of Go Touch VR.

The innovation contest is a support mechanism funded by the Program of Investments of Future (PIA) which aims to select innovation projects with particularly strong potential for the French economy. Go Touch VR participated under the categories of digital and technological themes in the Deep Tech category. The grants are dedicated to support the excellence of innovative projects by start-ups and SMEs and to accelerate the emergence of leading of companies in their fields.
